The Mission

Prof. Nobili Nursing Home aims at providing quality healthcare to safeguard the health of all citizens, giving them the power to directly control the quality of services they receive in terms of efficiency, personalisation and effectiveness.

The Mission of Prof. Nobile Nursing Home focuses on:

  • Freedom of choice. The right to freedom of choice represents the first essential element that guides a Healthcare Organisation and the number of choices available constitutes the centremost guiding principle of the healthcare organisation and the type of policies to favour.
  • The Centrality of the person. Clear and correct information on the patient’s state of health and treatment enables patients to consciously make decisions on their health. The active participation of patients ensures that they have the opportunity to express their opinion on the quality of services received and the possibility to provide suggestions and observations. This constitutes the basis for quality indicators to measure individual services and therefore of the entire structure.
  • Respect for the diversity, culture, religion and physical well-being of individuals. This is achieved by paying attention to the person's life habits, origins, culture or religion, by protecting their privacy, by giving due importance to human relationships and by trying to create an environment that is friendly, hospitable, and devoid of architectural and cultural barriers.
  • The effectiveness and efficiency of the Organisation. This is obtained through highly professional staff, and by making each staff member aware of their role and responsibility, as well as through the use of advanced technologies and the reduction of waste and inefficiencies.
  • Appropriateness, quality of care and performance monitoring. Placing attention on the definition and quality control of care, and managing continuous improvement processes, are integral parts of the company's mission. The patient/client stay in the nursing home must be beneficial to the patient’s health and well-being. Analysis of patient satisfaction surveys, complaints and suggestions are essential elements in the future orientation of our work. They help establish a relationship of increasing trust between the citizen and the Nursing Home.

The Quality System

By placing the person at the centre of its activities, Prof. Nobili Nursing Home has as its primary objective client/patient satisfaction via an organisation that aims at improving and monitoring the quality of services provided and perceived.

Code of Ethics and Model 231

The Prof. Nobili Nursing Home S.p.A, subject to the direction and coordination of Garofalo Health Care S.p.A, has adopted an Organisation, Management and Control Model, pursuant to Italian Legislative Decree 231/2001, and a Group Code of Ethics as a management tool and effective element of its strategy and business organisation.

The Garofalo Health Care Group Code of Ethics, of which the Prof. Nobile Nursing Home is part, can be accessed by clicking here.

Code of Ethics

The Code of Ethics of the Garofalo Health Care Group, approved by resolution by the Prof. Nobile Nursing Home S.p.A. Board of Directors on 14 September 2018, was drawn up to clearly define the ethical values of the Group and serve as an essential element of the Group’s corporate culture, as well as define the rules of conduct by which staff carry out their professional duties, and the rules of conduct for dealing with shareholders, customers, suppliers, colleagues, public administration officials, and with all other stakeholders with whom the Group has relations.

The Group's Mission was taken into account when drawing up the Code of Ethics. GHC’s Mission aims at developing the Group’s capacity to bring together health facilities of excellence, thereby strengthening GHC’s potential and leveraging its resources to enable it to become the first healthcare group of reference at the national level. GHC’s mission also aims at creating a high-quality model through its "patient-centred" approach, which takes into account the preferences, needs and values of individual patients when making clinical decisions. In this way, the patient is placed firmly at the centre of the system.

The Group’s guiding principle: "Health is a person’s most valuable asset", was inspired by Prof. Raffaele Garofalo. All of the Group’s stakeholders abide by this principle and affirm the importance of health as a primary asset, as no human being can do without it, and as such, it must be safeguarded by guaranteeing professionalism and excellence.

Model 231

Model 231, approved by the Prof. Nobile Nursing Home S.p.A. Board on 5 October 2018, responds to specific provisions contained in Italian Legislative Decree 231/2001 aimed at preventing the commission of certain types of crimes (on the basis of which, seemingly committed to benefit the company, may involve administrative liability for a crime under the provisions of the said decree).

The Board of Directors of the Prof. Nobile Nursing Home S.p.A. has also established a Supervisory Body, endowed with independent powers of initiative and control, which will be responsible for monitoring compliance with Model 231 and promoting its continued updating. The Supervisory Body has been assigned, inter alia, the tasks of:

  • Verifying the actual adoption and correct application of the control protocols provided for by Model 231. It should be noted, however, that control activities are delegated to the primary responsibility of the operational management and are considered as a fundamental element of each corporate process ("line control"). Hence the importance of a staff training programme.
  • Conducting periodic audits, also with the operational support of the secretariat, focused on particular operations or specific deeds, executed in the context of sensitive activities, the results of which will be summarised in a specific report and included in communications to corporate bodies, as described below.
  • Collecting, processing and storing all relevant information regarding compliance with Model 231.
  • Monitoring initiatives to disseminate knowledge and understanding of Model 231.

Any violation or suspected violation of Model 231 must be reported to the Supervisory Board.
