Functional Unit of General Medicine and Long-Term Care

The General Internal Medicine Department deals with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of all internal organs and systems, particularly the cardiac, cardiovascular, endocrine, neurological and pulmonary systems.

Long-term care deals mainly with disorders related to patients who need rehabilitation following medical treatment, terminal phase neoplastic patients and patients with complex therapeutic protocols that cannot be treated at home. Specialist care is available at both inpatient and day hospital facilities.
